Yooooo, so I always try to participate in 28 Days of Black Cosplay (even tho it should be everyday) and I found some really amazing cosplayers during February that I am super happy to be following thanks to a very dedicated Instagrammer that compiled a huuuuuge list of a few hundred Black cosplayers that we were able to peruse and be able to share their amazing work. A.Gent.Simmons was actually one of the super awesome cosplayers I found off that list and he does A+ work not only with cosplay, but with his IG TV food channel as well! Definitely check him out and give him a follow!

How long have you been cosplaying?

Four years!

What got you into Cosplay?

I wanted to go big for Halloween one year, so I got a Spider-Man suit. I love the character, and at the time, I had only really heard of cosplay through a couple of friends. Fast forward a month or two and the local hockey team was sponsoring a superhero night; of course, I had to dress up! At the game, I met up with some local cosplayers, and the rest is history.

Favourite Costume? Was it bought or made?

Nightwing! (it has pockets!) I wear a lot of spandex, so being able to carry stuff around is a treat! Some parts were made, some were bought!

What are your goals as a cosplayer?

Art is all about evolution. Not only that, but growth! I always want to try new things and to test my own boundaries. I hope to continue to better myself as a maker, and one day be able to make full costumes

Which Cosplayer inspired you to cosplay?

Oh man, the list could go on! My friends from the SC Upstate Heroes are a huge inspiration, as well as many other makers that I've watched videos of, seen posts of, and had the pleasure of working with!

Dream Cosplay?

501st Legion is goals! I'll be a stormtrooper one day!

Favourite Skill of Cosplay? (Wig work, sewing, armor, etc)

Armor making!
