Yooooo, so I always love getting to talk about cosplayers I am passionate about, and it makes me so happy that I can feature Lizz. Lizz is super talented, amazing, and such a sweet person to talk to. I really want to hurry up and get my Star Guardian Jinx made so I can cosplay with their SG Poppy! They are such a passionate cosplayer and I am honored to have lost to them for "Best in Show" at Anime STL this year. The coffin they made looked heavy as hell, it was heavy, and it was just, absolutely gorgeous. The lights and such were beautiful and intricate and I just can't gush enough about it. If you have the chance, definitely check it out for yourself!

How long have you been cosplaying?
I made around 3 from 05-08 and ended up taking a break during college. I got back into cosplay in 2012, so I have roughly 10 years' experience in the craft.
What got you into Cosplay?
I first got into cosplay because I learned that anime conventions existed! My best friends and I wanted to make cosplays to wear together from the anime Naruto. It was a super memorable experience and the magic of it really stuck with me.
Favourite Costume? Was it bought or made?
My favorite costume so far has to be my Jaina Proudmoore from World of Warcraft. I made absolutely everything from scratch, it took me about 180 hours. At the time it was the most intense build I had ever made. I really put my heart and soul into it.
What are your goals as a cosplayer?
My long term goal as a cosplayer is to connect with other cosplayers to offer advice, support, and tutorials to help others overcome a variety of cosplay struggles. The cosplay community has been so helpful to me when I've gotten stuck on construction problems, so I'd like to give back in the same way. I would love to regularly guest at conventions and judge cosplay contests in order to connect with newbie/younger cosplayers and give them encouragement to keep going in the hobby.
Which Cosplayer inspired you to cosplay?
My biggest cosplay inspirations include Kamui Cosplay, HDC Fabrication, and Narga and Aoki Cosplay.
One day I would absolutely love to cosplay my Blood Elf Protection Paladin character from World of Warcraft!
Favourite Skill of Cosplay? (Wig work, sewing, armor, etc)
I am full-on addicted to making big props, which often require a multitude of skills. The bigger the prop, the more I feel compelled to take it on!
What is something you would change about the Cosplay Community if you could?
I would like to see the cosplay community focus more on craftsmanship and putting just as much love toward the work in progress stages of a cosplay as we do in the final product. The transformation from raw materials to finished product is amazing to me.
