McKeltie.Cosplay

Alright, so, one of my new close friends Amber (aka McKeltie.Cosplay) wanted to be featured! I love this person. She's such an amazing cosplayer, she's funny, smart, quick-witted, and even does cosplay photography! She's the gorgeous Midnight and Pixie-Bob of the STL Hero Academia, Salem from RWBY, and is about to debut a hot af K/DA Akali at Katsucon next month! I hope I'm able to go and can see it in person, because it's going to look UH-MAZING! So if I didn't hype you up enough with the leading paragraph, read below about this bada$$ cosplayer whom I get to call my friend.

Where can we find you on Social Media?

Facebook and Instagram @Mckeltie.Cosplay

How long have you been cosplaying?

I have been cosplaying close to eight years now.

What got you into the community?

Originally seeing other people at conventions dressed up got me interested in cosplay itself. But it wasn't until I finally learned how to sew and make my own cosplays did I really get into it full time.

Favourite Costume? Was it bought or made?

My favorite costume that I have made thus far is my Salem (RWBY) cosplay. Everything is hand made, wig is self styled and the arm socks as well were made by me.

What are your goals as a cosplayer?

My goals as a cosplayer is to help make it more acceptable and empowering for women my size to be able to comfortably cosplay whatever they want without being made fun of or judged for their size and not being "screen accurate".

Which Cosplayer inspired you?

Jessica Nigri is one of my all time favorite cosplayers.

What is your dream cosplay?

My dream cosplay changes all the time. Sometimes it's something I know I will never get around to doing or it's a cosplay I'm working on for the next convention.

Favourite Skill of Cosplay? (Wig work, sewing, armor, etc)

I love styling wigs. But figuring out patterns for a difficult cosplay is fun as well.

Photographer Credits: Pixie-Bob was taken by The Fandom Father and Salem was taken by Mouzycat Photography
